quickjack with an M6 GC with competition package
I was looking to get a Quickjack but the bl5000ext is 3.5 inches high and the bottom of the lift point is 4" off the ground. That does not leave enough room for the bmw jack puck. Does any one have experience using these jacks with our cars?

Maybe get a low profile ramp to get you a little more clearance?

Well at least you have the EXT. I have the 5000SLX and the jack points are about 4-5inches off. I would have to get quickjack's frame extensions which would only add to the height of the unit.

I will probably have to get two sets of these so I still have the clearance between the wheels to slide the quickjack in.

I have the 5000SLX version and the frame extensions to accommodate the length of m6 GC. Yes, the pucks come with it will not work because it's too tall to fit. So, I just use a piece of 2x4 wood cut to fit in the slot. It works great. I like the quick jack very much.
I also I think you can buy pucks with the height of 2 inches tall online but I haven't look for it. It's just a piece of hard rubber. GL |

Unfortunately when I filled the tank with the fluid, I found out that it leaks (quite a bit) at the flange. I have called Quickjack but they have not called me back yet. I was somewhat concerned about the frequent warnings about not lifting from a fully lowered position, because that is where I would have to start from if i do not use "blocks" under the tires. Hopefully i will get a repalcement power unit soon. My order was placed last November and arrive yesterday.

I'm not sure of the length difference between a Coupe and a GC, but I have had my Quickjack (BL-5000EXT) since before the M6. I have never had issues lifting any of my cars with it. My previous car project car, an E39 M5 that was LS twin turbo swapped, sat lower than my M6. No issues. I currently have the M6 sitting on it (since November) while building my intake and getting new tires installed on the wheels. I wouldn't worry about it, GREAT tool for my situation.
