Check this site out. I purchased downpipes from this company and they told me that this intake system for the 550 would fit.

3d-printed maf + flexible intake tubing + K&N filters

Sounds mean and looks menacing. Car feels more alive.

You can't beat it for the price. Def got more power and throttle response. You can hear the turbos spool up too. My mechanic told me that the figment was perfect. No modifications needed. Just and FYI that It will kick a check engine light if you don't have a tune. And I actually just ordered the intake kit today.

Here are some uninstalled pics of the 3D printed intake. Used intakes and hoses from Spectre performance.

Looks like you had a much easier install than I did. I did not bother to take off the bumper or anything at all. I see you got the newer MAF tubes with High-heat coating. I'm waiting for my set as well.

Yea the bumper was off already waiting on headlights and getting repainted so I took advantage of the opportunity 🤣 I was impressed how quickly he was able to print them and get them shipped to me! Also, I am in contact with another gent up in your area that may be able to fab a pipe to replace the hosing!

Please keep me posted on the hard piping. I feel it would be better as there is probably air turbulance from the flex tubing. Plus it would look nicer.

we discussed this on the M6 side of the forum. I feel blocking the radiator is a big issue with this car as coolant is not only used for engine cooling, but also used for charge air cooling. So you're reducing cooling and increasing air travel. This is my take:

Lastly, the intake will add virtually no power by itself. You'll want to pair with a tune, and the tune itself will be what bumps the power up, not the intake.

Summary: stick to stock (remove charcoal filters or add an aftermarket drop in) or buy the Dinan box which is essentially a glorified air scoop with elements of the CAI through the snorkel.

Hmm that’s a very good point. I will watch that and see if we can get a definitive temp reading over next couple months.

Arm Motorsports cold air intake for sale!!! $300

Selling my brand new (new design) Arm Motorsports cold air intake system. I had the older version installed in my car and I kept kicking the 02 sensor check engine light. I reached out to Arm Motorsports and told them the issue and they said that it's happening b/c of the placement of the sensor so they came up with a new design and shipped it to me free of cost. I ended up selling my car before I installed it. ( I actually I tried to install it one day but change me my mind, so it might have a scuff on one of the pipes). So it's been siting in my garage for months collecting dust. Take it off my hands for $300

Seems like a lot of work/effort to gain a tiny amount of additional power.

Fits both applications. The one I ordered was for the 550 but before I ordered, I spoke to Jacob from Arm Motorsports and he told me that they work for both applications.

Not sure about the HP gain but the install isn't bad and it gives the car a nice sound. You can definitely hear the turbos spooling up too.
