Pulsing on Hard Acclleraion

I am having an issue with pulsing (like the engine is missing or being retarded by the computer) on hard acceleration. I pulled the 178 fuse to see if it was the transfer case, but it does the same thing. Car runs great accept for this. The car is a 2015 B6 Alpina Grand Coupe.

Low fuel pressure, perhaps.

Do you have DSC (traction control) still initiated/turned on? If you do and you are flooring the accelerator...then not only is the ABS braking system being activated to stop wheel slippage...so is ASC (automatic stability control) kicking in which cuts engine throttle to assist in the vehicle regaining traction.

If you are attempting hard accelerations....you need to activate DTC (dynamic traction control) or turn DSC off. These instructions are in the owners manual and if you don’t have a physical manual...you can access the iDrive version of the manual...which happens to also have a search feature. You can search for “DTC” & “DSC” to find out how to activate/deactivate both.

I'm having a similar issue - I've noticed that if I'm doing anywhere from 45-70mph and go hard on the throttle it will start pulling fine, and then around 3-4k rpm feels like a misfire or slipping from the engine. It isn't giving me any of the traction control/stability lights on the dashboard, and I don't get a DTM, but it feels like a misfire or something is getting cutoff. Plugs/coils were replaced less than 5k miles ago when I did get a DTM.

Not sure if it's something from the computer w/ traction (but in a straight line at highway speeds feels unlikely), timing chain, carbon buildup, injectors (All the ones I checked are index 12) etc. Not getting any error messages so difficult to really diagnose.

So I'm having the same issue. But it's not the motor, it's the transmission. My situation is that I'm running newer tires on the rear than on the front. Because the car is picking up the difference in traction it's causing the Xdrive to shutter under load. Do you have staggers wheels? Do you have the same tire brand on all 4?

I put my winter set on (non stag hard and all the same make and age. Problem went away completely

If your car is xdrive and you've changed tyres, it's the transfer. It happened to me when i put ps4 instead of runflats. I changed again to runflats but the issue didn't disappear.
Then, i unplugged the transfer to confirm it was related to it and plugged it the day after and the problem disappeared. I guess it kind of rebooted/reset

How did you unplug the transfer case?

Did you ever get this resolved? I’ve got the same issue. Thanks.
