The Car Connectivity Consortium was created by Apple, Audi, BMW, GM, Hyundai, LG, Panasonic, Samsung, and Volkswagen.
Version 1.0 requires dealers to set it up and is the one that's available early next year. Version 2.0 will allow individuals to set it up themselves and that should be ready for 2020. As I understand it, all the phone makers are implementing Version 1.0 but some car manufacturers are holding off for Version 2.0. |

2012 Tesla does this a startup software company. Many commands Integrated with SIRI, and keyless driving.
Keyless Driving is Useful when you need to move cars in the garage\driveway. I am still puzzled why large automakers are so far behind in tech.

Hello Jay! How can I tell if my car has this feature for sure? My build sheet says the car has Comfort Access and the car option menu shows the 2 Touchless Lock & Unlock options but they won't activate.
My service advisor claims my car is too old (2016 BMW 750i) to have the Touchless feature but my BMW Driver Guide (customized by my VIN) has it?? This is my VIN number: WBA7F0C58GGL99226 Would greatly appreciate your help! Reph |

People think this is a good idea?
Is it too much of a hassle to be in control of locking your own car? Im sure there will.be no security issues with this new setup /s |

We have this on our X7 and I hate it with passion. Aside from never truly knowing if the car is locked or not, the thing will beep at me when I walk by even without a key. Car parked in the garage, and if I walk in the hallway next to the garage door (inside the house) I’ll hear it go off.
I am aware you can turn it all off. The joys of marriage.
