Unhappy Sos call system failure

Hey guys, I just installed a mmi andream box in my 6 series f13 and it works great, the only downside is i have to use the aftermarket mic. This morning it worked great, no errors nothing. Turned the car off for a couple hours and when started it again i got the sos error, anyone ever dealt with it? Any solutions? Thank you

If you have removed the unit at the roof, the fault memory has to be deleted.

I didn’t remove any unit at the top, not sure which one you refer too, i did press the sos button and it did work, i got a call back, it’s just the error popping when turning the ignition on.

I have the bimmertech version. What do you mean aftermarket mic? The kit does not include a mic, just power, video and wife cables.

I do think that the system is a bit wonky, sometimes won't start, and wireless phone call are terrible.

I just found out there are software updates, will install and see how things improve

I found a guide online, I think I found the issue, I installed the mic that I shouldn’t.
Copy paste
d) SOS CALL System Failure
i. Check Quadlock is sitting properly on the Headunit
ii. Occurs when microphone tap cable is installed and switch 8 not in
correct position.
iii. Occurs when microphone tap cable is installed but not required

Removed the mic and all good now, hope it lasts, but what I noticed is that i was getting sound trough bmw Bluetooth, i was connected to the mmi and the car at the same time, in the manual says to disconnect from the car, if i do that i get no sound. Do you guys use an auxiliary cable for sound? Did you connect the auxiliary cable in the arm rest auxiliary?

Per manual do not use bluetooth through factory system, set media type to aux (no cable).
