Different tyre size

Hi. My stock tire size is 245/35/20 + 275/30/20. I tuned my 6 series for 600HP and I'm thinking about replacing stock tire size with 255/35/20 + 295/30/20 for better grip. Anyone tried this setup, what are your impressions?

That is the size I run, but I have the M5 forged wheels. I dont think those sizes will work on the stock wheels.

As far as sizing, i would still like to go wider, which i dont if it is possible. I am only on the BMS stage 1 piggyback, but it is not difficult to break the 295s loose.

I run Kuhmo PS91s and like them alot. Ride is surprisingly good, the wider tire means a little extra sidewall. i will note that I am also on Eibach springs and with the wider tires i do get a bit of rubbing on big bumps.

Is that bmw style 343? It rubs on big bumps without people at rear seats? So possibly with people on rear seats it will rub almost all the time, am I right?

Yep, they are the 343s. I have a coupe, so no one over about 5 years old would fit in the back seats. I believe the GC has different spring rates which would hopefully handles the weight, but I cant say for sure. I know that when I chose my wheel and tire set up everyone i read that had the same set up said they didnt have any rubbing, i have no idea why mine is different.

It looks like you are the only one person from this forum running 255/35/20 + 295/30/20 right now.

I've definitely seen some other people running F10 M5 wheels with 295 tyres. Hopefully this search result works, but if it doesn't I just searched for 295/30r20

I run same setup on M5 343 . Lowered on H&R and also get occasional rubbing. Seems like I need to trim wheel well lining or need a wider rim maybe 11 in width to stretch 295 a little.

Thank you guys. Anyone of you is xDrive? Any transfercase problems? Rolling diameter is almost close to 0%. Maybe you have rubbing issues because of M6 wheels? I heard that M6 343 is wider than M5 343 and you need to buy M5 wheels to avoid rubbing.

M6 wheels are 20x10.5" 19mm offset whereas M5 wheels are 20x10" 34mm. So the outer edge is actually 15mm further out.

The M5 wheels tend to just rub with 295s on lowered cars - M6 wheels just aren't an option at all!

It's even bigger, rather 20mm because rim is wider.
