Hello everybody , i noticed an engine noise when the car is runing but at stop, i hear a kind of noise like belt or timing chain ( i don't know ) something is hangs .
My car is from 08/2012 and 99400 miles. i did the classic services ( oil change, filters air and AC) need to bleed the brake now, but what i missed ? i need to bleed the automatic gearbox drain , but my gearbox is ok and is not the problem. its like a noise belt or timing chain perhaps . the drive belt ? Thanks for your help. regards Last edited by hart07; 01-10-2020 at 06:56 PM.. |

you are better of posting in the f30 forum in the n55 engine section. more knowledgeable people will be able to help diagnose the problem. people here usually take there cars to the dealer if anything arises
also it seems your oil filter gasket is leaking. i would recommend getting that repaired asap to prevent future damage |

I think it may be one of your pulleys and/or belt. My oil filter housing gasket was leaking (common occurrence with this engine) and oil leaked on my belts and pulley. Had the oil filter housing gasket changed, plus belts and pulley.
Edit: IIRC they replaced a pulley, belt tensioner and belts due to my oil filter housing gasket leaking onto them. From your video, it looks like oil housing gasket is leaking as well. Last edited by JP1906; 02-13-2020 at 12:16 PM.. |
