Nope, not me. I'm done with men. I left my husband after being married 16 years. Divorce was final 4 years later. I was single for 8 years and just ended a 9 year relationship. I'm done.

Unless you do switch teams, I have to say I doubt that. I could be wrong, but my prediction is that within 15 years, you will have entered into at least one more relationship / or at least gone on dates. We're all suckers for punishment to some degree or another. And I suspect you are going to wind up finding someone who is nice and worth you pursuing a relationship with.

I need to get back in that comfortable place and get past the hurt. If something shows up in a few years, so be it. But I'm not looking for it.

Because it's the internet. If I block and move on, he's none the wiser as to what he's done wrong, and where is the fun in that? It's better to back up, appear 10 feet tall and invite him into a war of keyboards where the only injuries will be broken fingernails. Plus - Kiwis are known for calling a spade a spade. As for my friends - I am becoming more and more of a recluse while here in the US. I will bide my time until I can return to NZ where my real friends are.

Now that I'm back in IL and she's in CA and it's been barely a day apart I realize how small of an annoyance it was. She's definitely been putting in more than I have and as much as it'd hurt I'd fully understand if I was forced to be alone again.

Same goes for your career - you work(ed?) your ass off, and now are living the good life. But I'm sure you know without doing so you wouldn't have a Countach (among many other cars I don't even remember lol). So why shouldn't the same principle apply in dating?
