I love shooting 1911s. I don't love carrying them. Weight matters. LOL

I have several older Colt 1911s, a Colt Mustang, and one new Staccato which is awesome in 9mm. But, carry weapons are always a trade off of shooting and carrying. For shooting a double stack 1911 in .45 is great. But man is that heavy. For carry a small 380 is great. But I can't hit anything with that.

The Glock 30 is a good compromise for me. I can actually hit stuff with it, has 10 rounds of 45 and isn't too heavy. To each their own.

My *first was a Colt 1911...... still have it...
Great shooter... not something I want to carry
around on my hip all day, though.

Always wanted to add a Mustang to the safe, but never did...
Those look like they'd be a lot of fun!

For the tupperware models, I've shot Sig, S&W, Taurus, Ruger, Walther, and Springfield.
Haven't experienced a Glock yet. Not sure I'm really missing anything?
Although I've heard... Glock, CZ, and FN can be quite comfortable and addicting.

A Colt 1911 of some sort is my next purchase - being able to find stock at a reasonable price, there's the rub.
I still want to get a FNX 45 Tactical though...just for the mag capacity (15 rounds of .45) and pre-drilled for optic/RMR.

I do like my HK 45 though - very stable, it has that widget on the recoil rod/spring. Only thing I don't like is the lack of ambidextrous safety (and getting HK parts is another exercise in pain and patience)

For duty Glock 17 Gen 5.
Back up Glock 43, LCP9.
I love my Staccato P 2011.

So Century is taking over for Zenith for the Turkish MP-5 import game...

I read that they're charging $2800! That's up $1k from the Zenith days and matches the HK MSRP.

I was really hoping to do a K PDW Form 1 but I'm not paying that much for a Turkish gun. I really with PTR would make a K.

Honestly I still want to find someone at the range with a CZ and try it again to see if it is as good as I remember. But when I shot one, I really did like it. Otherwise, I stick to my 1911 when I'm at the range. Not a huge fan of Glocks, but they aren't bad, just not something that I think "I really enjoyed that" after I shoot them. Whereas I do with the 1911 and I did with the CZ.

I’ve a couple and love them. Those who I have allowed to fire mine have bought their own. I did manage to snag a Sphinx a few years back before they went TU and when you didn’t know a cz could be better, it is.

If I come home with another gun, my wife is liable to use one of them on me. So pipe down - I don't want to know what I'm missing!

But the CZ has always been in the back of my mind, just lurking. I know it is there, I know I'd like to try it again, but I'm trying to be good.

Buying and selling or even trading can help put together quality firearms, tools, cameras or anything else. Are you aware of everything your wife does? As long as no one gets hurt what does it matter? I'm single so I probably don't understand that concept...

Things are different when you have a spouse, can't just waste all your money on cars and guns lol

Though you're right about selling/trading. Recently sold my AK to make room for my RPR

Are you sure that the wife doesn't have a secret stash of shoes and handbags somewhere?

My wife used to have a secret room which I could not get to because she had piled so much crap around the door. If she bought something she put it there for a while then when I came home and she had it out and asked she could honestly say "I've had it a while".

Great rifle, and you're in the minority if you're well stocked in 6.5. I haven't been able to take out my RPR in months because I can't find any 6.5.

HA! My mom will leave things in the back of her SUV and when I'm helping unload groceries, and grab a bag that's not from Winn Dixie she's like "Don't bring that inside. It has to stay in the truck a while longer"

LOL WHAT?

Edit. Whoops, though that said .300blk.

I have a 9mm CMMG running Glock mags, but those .22LR AR-pattern mags work well, too.

If you bought your own, what do you think of them? Worth the high cost of entry? Wish you bought a better quality? Anything else to share?
PM me. I have a dealer account with TNVC. I'm not an expert, but maybe I can answer some of your questions.

In general, buy what you can afford. The quality dual tube are typically always better than a single PVS14, but a quality PVS-14 is better than a cheap dual tube. Always go with Gen 3 or better. Remember if you go with NV.. you have to buy the stuff that goes around it too. Good helmet, or skull crusher, the components that hold the optics to the helmet, IR illuminators, possible 4D upgraded padding, etc.

Yeah, it's the 4"? version.
I'm waiting for the Glock mag lower to get built.

Sadly, my extractor broke on mag two! Very upset. They're sending me a new extractor and some weights for suppressed shooting.

Freaking nice! I love the C-More sight too, I have a bunch of those and love them. Here’s my latest in .300 while waiting for the can and sbr apps to process. I’m allowed to use the suppressor at the range I purchased it from until it clears and I can take it home. It’s quieter than a .22 now, and that binary trigger is something else hah.
