IMHO, the CLS looks better. The test mules look bland. I was interested in a future M3 Gran Coupe--hopefully they sharpen the design for the 3er version in a few years.
As for acceleration, handling, fit/finish, and features--we shall see what the final Gran Coupe brings. |

This will destroy CLS's sales ! 1st of do not judge a car in came and especially compare it to a 63 when it's not a M version, CLS looks feminine in person , however the interior on CLS is QUALITY !!!! This looks like ASTON I love it, maybe my next car if it's not overpriced.

While agree so far, looks are subjective. So Not really a valid argument

Considering how popular the Panamera and CLS are the purpose would be to capture some of that lucrative market.

That's apples vs apples for you. For a real comparison, let's judge it when it's released shall we. Personaly i think this car will sell great. CLS was and is great for MB, and the 6GT will be even better for BMW imo. Much better so than the 5 GT and 3 GT As with the A7, it's ugly as fuk! Leave that bastard out of this, CLS is the one atm, Panamera is also ugly as sin, it's a VW, oh sorry Porsche though. So a 6 GT will do excellent, at least judging on those concept pictures of it.

This is the BMW I have been waiting for years since the CS concept was revealed! The GC concept was really gorgeous and I expect this car to be equally stunning. Now imagine this in M shape with 560+hp, who needs an M5 then! :-)
As for the CLS, I think the first generation CLS was groundbreaking and truly a standout car, however the new iteration is not so outstanding imo. The Panamera surely drives and handles great but it is one hell of an ugly car and the A7 is just average looking. The concept was a lot nicer. |

GC looks like a slammed x6 from behind.. or the Passat CC. The front looks good but IMO CLS looks better. Just flows lot better.

GT? What GT? That's the Gran Coupe concept, and IMHO, its a much better comparison to a production car than some taped up 6 GC mule with spare parts on it. I'm sure the M6 and M Sport GC will look as good as the concept (not the same, but just as good).

If you want the most expensive looking car (looks like 120K car) you get the CLS over the BMW (looks like 80K car). If you want a great looking car with better performance despite its lack of Jazz, you get the 6-series. This has been and forever will be, the motivation for buying BMW over Merc in any price range.
PS the white Merc above is AMG, no? - if so, can't compare AMG to non-M |
