Ewww...sidewall damage...there's no repairing that.

Since the f06 came with RFT tires...there was no jack/tire iron/spare/etc...so we only got a tow hook and a screwdriver in our sparse goody bag...or you could opt for the mobility kit that has an air compressor and an emergency canister of sealant.

Or you could order & piece together the spare tire & various other needed parts from the f12/f13 that includes a spare wheel/tire/jack/lug bolt wrench etc.

Since almost all flat tires are the result of slow leaks, everyone should carry a small portable 12 volt air compressor. Consider the nail, screw, etc as a temporary plug and don't remove it until you are at home or a repair facility.

Your case with a sidewall blowout is an exception and very unusual.

What is shown first in Post #2 was in the trunk's cubby hole at the rear of the trunk.

Yes, modern cars are tailored for people that don't like to get their hands dirty. AAA or run flats or slime repair is all you get. Keeping weight off also increases MPGs for government environmental mandates.

OP you have an Xdrive car. You should be familiar with the fact that driving on a space saving spare will damage your transfer case. If you get a non-recoverable flat either carry a full sized spare or get a tow.
