Does anyone know if these light up from the factory bmw settings or is it one of those systems your turning on and off with your phone?
Do you think it could be spliced in to the factory wiring so that it would work like normal? |

Unlikely to work for a number of reasons. The Fxx 6-er never had multi-colour ambient lighting. On BMWs that do have multi colour ambient lighting the LED modules use three or more wires to connect to the car. These would not be present in Fxx wiring harness. That's at a very high level.

It was a curious omission on the part of BMW, but then again, there are only so many lights in the 6-er that maybe ambient lighting simply didn't make sense.

Hugo would you like to tap into the driving mode signal and create an intercept module so we can have red ambient lighting for sports, blue eco, and comfort something "oem" ?

I think that is a bit above my pay grade. I mean I am pretty technically minded but I've never delved into that kind of work

The kits are not made for the 6Series. I made them work. It’s a DIY project, not a retrofit/straight swap
