Help needed pls!

Just did my 2014 bmw m6 gc engine, is bone stock and so far we have put 11 qtrs of oil and still Telling me is oil a minimum level? Is this rite or my oil sensor is messed up too? I knw since the engine was a part completely it will take a lil more thn 10 but 11 is not enough?

It takes a while for the oil level to update.

Speaking of oil I will post it here. Has anyone noticed on latest models when looking at the SPECS it reads:

S8KLA - Oil service interval 15,000 km/12 months

Whereas on earlier models the specs read:

S8KA OELWARTUNGSINT. 30.000KM/24MONATE

Anyone know why this was changed from BMW's side? Provided I change the oil in my car at max 15.000-20.000 km, it's interesting they have halved this interval at least according to these specs.

Tbh 30km oil change service was always way way to high, about time its was reviewed. Im the same service at around 10k miles believe it will help the life of the engine be extended quite a bit

Correct and I agree with you. I mentioned above in my case it is max 20.000 km but for the 650i I did my oil change at 15.000 this past July. And I will keep the 15.000 km interval even though my 2016 model has the 24 months spec.
I suppose BMW also want to minimize any other potential reliability problem especially considering the N63T engine. In general you do not want to drive with black oil which almost has the consistency of water.....

When I took my 2013 650 in for a PPI (post purchase inspection) back in October/2018...when they ran the service history it came up that it was coded with the longer interval (S8KA). I was told that the car was eligible to be coded for the shorter interval S8KL (for free). I took the offer...which also came with 3 liters of BMW TwinPower Turbo 0W-30 oil for free, too.

Good suggestion I will do the same and ask next time mine is due. I will go there (to the dealer) at 30.000 km and ask them to code it too. If they refuse I will code it myself no problem. I will treat the N63T with white gloves........

Just remember that if you have had other aftermarket coding performed...it may reset changes you made if not coded by BMW. It takes a while (maybe up to an hour..so I was told) for the recoding of the service interval...I don't know the exact amount of time because as I mentioned...I was having a PPI done as well as a brake fluid change and oil service done, too.

If you have the software/hardware to do coding...it may not matter if it wipes out previous coding...you can just redo what was lost.

Correct. Yes I do coding myself and of course VO coding (after editing Salapa) any ECU will wipe off custom coding previously performed on the ECU in question. However, if it's free from BMW as in your case and are willing to do it I will let them do it when I take it in for the next oil service. On the F32 I have modified the VO due to some retrofits but I just got the F06 this past July thus I have not yet done much to it other than some common comfort and "cool" coding stuff.
