Upgrade CIC Nav System Group Buy

This company does upgrades that may interest alot of 2012 - 2014 owners.

https://avinusa.com/gps-multimedia-systems/bmw.html

If you would consider leave a post and I will let them know our interest and perhaps it will spur the intro of a replacement system for us. I just tried Android Auto on a loaner and it was cool seeing waze and google maps on the screen

Nice. I contacted them a few months ago and I was told they are developing it for the 2012 on 6er. Let's get a group buy and list of ppl interested.

I'm in!

I’m interested. I had a convo with one of their reps and they said something is supposed to be released this year. Would be interested in group buy for sure.

This is interesting. Just to clarify, to me it looks like this isn't an idrive upgrade, it's just a touchscreen that gives you apple car play or android auto. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Will this require coding and software updates to work to NBT?

No group buy price known, they don't make one for us yet, but I hope to show them this thread to get them to make for us and give us a group buy.

They claim full factory integration.

Go to this page and keep scrolling, will be clear. I presume the head unit is a small android based computer that translates the bmw signals:

No, you’re simply replacing the screen. The added features (Apple play and android) run of its own stand alone system. No coding required. Plug and play system from what I can remember.

Unfortunately, China makes OEM ones too.

i'd be keen as long as the integration of stock control etc are kept intact without losing any features etc.

some of the fonts and etc look cheap and budget on some of those types.. keen to see their final product

I wonder how parking sensor/bird eye view/nose side view etc will work, never seen one of those in person so I dont fully understand it but I assume it will need to be switched between the stock view and the android view manually to use stock options?

obviously will make the hud navi display useless too?

Would perhaps be interested, but I think all of us would need to see some video/review from an actual forum member. The video on their site looks good.

I'm greatly interested in this as well! Had one of their units in my E46 M3.
