22 inch wheels
Hi all, seeking advice on putting 22inch wheels on my 2014 Gran Coupe. Fitted some 22 Asanti black labels with 255's on the front however the tyre and control arm overhang were touching. I've seen plenty of photos of the GC with 22's fitted and wonder if anyone has had this done, if they had my issue and how they overcame it.
I know about ride quality, potholes and rim damage (got 22's on my X6) so please dont need that advice. cheers 2dogs |

I ordered my 22's on black Friday Sale and will be putting 255 or 245 in the front. I already have new Pirelli 285/25/22 ready for the rear. But I am not doing the mounting and lowering until the spring.
Anyways... One guy who did this had to grind some of the top of the fork arm off. See the below pic. See pics of the car here https://www.elementwheels.com/blog/2...s-650i-w-specs |

Your other option is a lower profile tyre. You can use a tyre diameter calculator to see what works. I've got 245/40/20 on the front of mine and that gives about 5mm between the fork arm and tyre. Could easily fit 21's with a lower profile tyre. 22's would be a squeeze unless your running rubber bands. There is a guy in this forum who's running 22's would be worth a pm to find out what he's done.
Can't say I'm a big fan of grinding out material, is there for a reason. An alternate maybe to look at what the M6 does in terms of fork arm, it might provide more clearance (would likely require a complete M6 front setup though). |

I know this is an old thread, but interested in how your setup ended up working out? Debating on going 22's because they don't offer the wheel that I want in a 21

Ride is stiffer and you'll feel the bumps. But I love the aesthetic. Rear : 285/25/22 Front: 245/30/22 |
