How do you connect 2 iPhone simultaneously to the car?

1 bluetooth & 1 carplay... for e.g

Is it not under Bluetooth connections, have one set as primary and the other as secondary. Mines a bit older but primary phone does Bluetooth media, office, text and emails, second phone just phone calls from what I can tell. Fine for me as allows me to take work calls and use personal phone for music. Not sure possibilities for car play as mines only nbt head unit. Both site up in address book.
