I did finish recently something by JD Robb, somewhat futuristic crime novel. I can't tell if I'm getting older, or just couldn't follow the character development. I knew who the lead detective was, but got so confused on some of the ancillary character interactions that I just read the words and moved on. And I think I picked up somewhere mid-series, so I may not know previous character development/stories.

Maybe the sun was too bright, maybe the hat band was too tight

I can confess to having read a couple of those JD Robb books as well. Equal parts futuristic crime thriller and Fabio-front covered romantic smut novel. I felt like an undersexed suburban housewife after reading

My wife tested positive 6 days in a row, and she was in really bad shape with a cold for at least 5 days. I tested my self twice in that period of time and I was negative both times, and I had no symptoms whatsoever

i'm starting to resent my boss more every day he is avoiding talking to me

i emailed him two weeks ago saying i want to get together for 10-15 mins to chat about how i'm doing. he has responded to everything but that email. i want to chat with him to tell him i do not feel respected here and that i want to switch teams as a result.

ironic that i'm being so ignored that i cant even voice my concerns of being ignored
