M6 Rear Conversion Again..(I know. I know)
Hello guys,
Working on making my 2017 650ix F13 a bit more aggressive. Got the M6 lower bumper piece, painted to match. Life is great. Installed great exhaust tips, life continues to be great.. However, I ran into a little issue and I need assistance.. Does this piece need to be removed 51127223160? Seems like it does nothing but provide support for the previous diffuser which is no longer present. I tried to examine briefly and seems you can just move it back and forth but it's clipped onto something. Not sure. A friend of mine that did his mod on his 2014 didn't have this piece so we are both confused. Looking at the parts diagram, and looking this part number up, it seems it is only held up by 4 clips and 4 bolts at the bottom... an I missing something? Trying to install a Vorsteiner diffuser and I need the clearance. Any advise, suggestions, tips or tricks are welcomed! Thanks guys! |

I noticed this as well however I think the piece is different for M6 versus F13 640i, 650i non M-Sport. Etc.
The Vorsteiner piece is literally a deep channel to the back 3 bolts. |

I recently did this mod, in Boston as well.
I ended up finding the lower piece here on the forums from a M6 GC and replaced it with that. I believe the piece you have will have to be removed/not installed for the new piece to bolt up. Let me know if you ever want to do a meet up |

I wish mods could help me move this to regular 6 posts, where this mod is far more common. There is even a guy who went from non-M-Sport to what I'm trying to do. Lol. A little intense. |
