650i exhaust tips removal?

Anybody know how to remove the square exhaust tips on the 650? I'm trying to install quads and I don't know where to start.

They're welded on... Have to cut them off to use the stock mufflers... doesn't leave much to work with to go with quads... most replace the 650 mufflers with M6 mufflers, then you have tons of options for quad tips, stock, 3.5 inch, 4 inch etc...

Should I find the OEM M6 mufflers or just find aftermarket mufflers that would fit an M6? Where's a good place to look?

Yes...

Get OEM M6 mufflers. You'll have quads that way... The tips are friction fit so you can spin them off and replace them with bigger ones if you want, different color or material like carbon fiber...
