M6GC Tire Longevity

I'm considering buying an M6 GC, and I couldn't find this info on the forums. For those who've had their car for awhile, how many miles do you get out of a set of Michelin PS4S(or similar)? Obviously this will vary greatly due to driving styles. I'm just trying to get a rough estimate so I can budget appropriately, since a set of tires for this car aren't inexpensive. Thanks!

Im sure other who track will have different answers but my first set was ready for replacement at 20k, and it was driven normally on a stock setup.

For 80% sport driving 20% normal driving ,
It last long at least 2 years for rear. For front may take more I assume 3 years at least. Between 20k - 30k miles for set i guess. I hope it help u.

Thanks. This is very helpful and reassuring. I was worried the answers would closer to 10k. So as long as you don't drivr like Ken Block all day everyday, you can actually get some decent mileage out of a set of tires.

I bought Michelin PS4S with about 80% thread and they only lasted about 9-10k miles. The 30 aspect ratio in the rear barely come with any rubber lol. My front's have about 15k miles on them and I can squeeze out another 5k out of them.

32k miles out of factory tires, PSSs. But the rears were GONE and could not have made it another mile... I would say 30k miles is normal with a restrained driving style. I can totally see how you could burn up a set in half that if you drive hard or occasionally track. The P4S is supposed to be a longer living tire, by just a bit.

I got 14k miles out of the PSS's that came with my '19GC. I have winter tires on from NOV-MAR, so no cold weather driving. This Spring, I put PS4s on, and after 10k miles, I am starting to notice the rears spinning under load, whereas they were nice and sticky when new. They have about 1/2 the tread depth as they did when new, and I anticipate needing to replace them next Spring.

My car is a DD, at least in the Summer, and I have never tracked it. I don't spin my tires (at least on purpose), nor do I drive it like I stole it. I do drive it like it was meant to be driven, especially on the highway. My milage is 80/20 highway/city.

I had a '16 M5 before the M6, and the tire wear was the same for that car, using PSS/PS4s tires in the Summer, and snow tires in the Winter. My first set of PSS on the M5 lasted 18k miles, but to be honest, the last 3k miles it was pretty unsafe, as there was virtually no traction when the roads were wet. I just didn't want to put new tires on in September, right before having to put snow tires on in November, so I milked that set.

12-15k miles seems like a good estimate for a daily driver set of tires on this car, given that they are only used in temps above 40 degrees. As an aside, these tires are no fun below 40 degrees, even when conditions are dry. Very slippery.
