Anyone used Rain Bird sprinkler systems before? Seems my new home comes with one (with a rain/freeze sensor as part of it) and just wondered how people had found using them in the past.

my house came equipped with Rain Bird. so far everything's been running fine. real easy to use. I don't have the rain sensor tho but after winter i'll probably look into that feature. for now it's nice not having to mow for at least he next 5 months

No snow in our back yard - just cleaned all the wintering lily pads from the pond.

my lawn is somewhat dormant and the green color is holding pretty well considering the low temps we have now...and yes...I drove on my lawn!

I've been absent around here. Mostly because the Winters in TX really don't yield much color. However....
It's always nice to get pleasant surprises. Take for example these Gallardia that I planted back in November in our large front door Vase. Initially they died after about 6 weeks. But recently they started blooming again with tons of blooms still to come as you can see with all those buds! Of course I fed them a high nitrogen fertilizer and they may have helped. ![]()

We recently closed on a house in north Florida. Anyone know what kind of grass we have? Excuse the oak leaves. We’ve got some on the lot and a big wind storm knocked ‘em around.
Previous owner parked a boat behind the driveway, so I’ve got a dead spot that I need to patch up (you can see it a little on the left side of the second picture) and ready to get this bad boy lush! I can see some stuff that almost looks like clovers and a decent amount of dead looking centipede mixed in with what I think may be Bermuda? Really wanting to spend some time out in the yard getting it all cleaned up. Last edited by spazzyfry123; 02-22-2020 at 12:15 AM.. |

The oaks and Spanish moss out here is really something. The route I take to get back into town is a canopy road. A 10 mile tunnel of them.
