Well that didn't last long, new to me 650i has issues

Went for a drive today, got a drivetrain malfunction message. Back to dealer tomorrow.

Pulled code, says Cylinder 4 misfire detected. So bad plug, coilpack, injector or worse.

Common for N63 powertrains

what year is your 650? BMW has the N63tu warranty for fuel system extended to 120k miles. that includes injectors, fuel rail, gaskets, both fuel pumps, etc.
and yes, like Flying Ace said... it's common for N63 and tu.
