weird issue today

Was at the gas station, with 24 miles on estimated range, car all of a sudden coughs, and throws up an error like a transmission fault, car still moves but with a weird noise. I shut it off, fuel up, and restart. Cars fine, has a CEL. Check it out with a reader at home and found a few codes, System too lean in Bank 1/2, Fuel Rail pressure sensor (Pressure high before engine start).

I clear out the CEL via the reader and its all back to normal.

Was a SUPEr weird hiccup, I do have a BPM sport tune but its been flawless so far.

Coils/plugs are all done as of 5k miles ago.

Not sure if weather plays a part, but its probably the coldest i've driven the car in post tune. In touch with BPM and they suggested to wait and see what happens / if it happens again..

Any feedback appreciated if anyone has faced a similar issue..

PS car has bmc race air filters and thats the only mod besides the tune

Are you not running the tank a bit low with only an estimated 24 miles left? I was advised not to run it down to the dregs because you're more likely to suck any residual crud that could be in the bottom. That applied to any car...

it was a bit low, i'll try to not do that again!! Not sure if that was the culprit, but it makes sense..

when you get that low, you can loose suction on the fuel pump in a long turn or under braking or acceleration. That theory is supported by the low fuel rail pressure code. It can damage your fuel pump doing that.
