New Owner M6 GC '14

Hello Hello Hello, I just bought my 2014 Alpine White GC with Opal White Full Merino Leather. It Has Drivers Assistance Plus, Executive Package, M carbon Ceramic Brakes, Bang & Olufsen Sound system. 41200 miles on the odometer.
I reside in the east part of Texas, Conroe/The Woodlands area.
First time owner of any BMW vehicle.
I was looking at getting an 8 series 94 840ci. The pop up headlights are good looking.
Looking to explore and learn from everyone here. Please and thank you.
Things to do on the car.
Buy a Warranty.
Oil change, oil filter.
Air filters, take out charcoal filters.
Change out all fluids on the vehicle one by one.
I enjoy the look the feel and the luxury of driving the M6.
Never had an experience like this.
I come from driving a high comp Nissan sentra 06. Total upgrade I know.
I saved up enough to where the M6 is not a concern in my pocket. Now that they are more attainable.
Cheers guys!
Houston, Dallas, San Antonio Peeps where you at!!!
Glad to be here excited.

Oil change, 29$ air filters and autozone stp cabin filters

Oil change I made friends at Jiffylube. They use pennzoil. I got my euro pennzoil platinum change for 110$ labor and oil, we used an oem oil filter. They discounted the oil filter. So its easy from here now with oil changes for this price.
Oil wrench adapter off amazon. 11$Name: Screenshot_20200405-195947_Chrome.jpg

Air filter I bought it off amazon. 29$
Oem filter at dealership. 40$
Also replaced an led license plate bulb for 20$.

Also changed the the cabin filters and engine filters.
On the left hand side engine filter it had oil on it. Per the picture. Plus the carbon filter had an inch long stain of oil. Might be alot of blow by from the engine?

Now I know this build may seem like its on a budget, it has been.
Bought some charge pipes. Car tuning design labs, to be exact. 180 shipped from taiwan. Cheapest charge pipes I could find. Its a piece of tubing metal with a bung and rolled lips on each end. It is what it is no matter how fancy a pipe can look. Well the inside of the pipes had an inner pipe to protect the rolled lip. About an 1" on each side.
Question are bms pipes the same or are they a one piece pipe with out an inner pipe? Hope I make sense🙄.

Increase throttle response and decreases turbo lag
Lightweight High Grade 6061 Aluminum Piping
Throttle body matched 3" piping
Retains factory style o-ring throttle body lock flange
Precision CNC machined throttle body flange ensures leak free connection to throttle body
Quick and easy connection and disconnection to throttle body
Ideal connection compared to the silicone hose and hose clamp connection found in all other aftermarket diverted valve upgrade pipes available in the marketplace
Diverter Valve Charge Pipe features beaded ends and T-bolt clamps to prevent inter cooler piping from coming off from boost
Optional Type III Hard Black Anodizing (for stealth and OEM look)
Hard anodizing helps improve durability of intercooler piping
Resists bent or dented piping
Compatible with the factory electronic diverter valve
Includes all hardware for complete installation
Made In Taiwan

The good:
Price
Material and couplers
Shipped from taiwan in 1 week
The bad:
Tight finger room to install T Clamps.
The ugly:
Moving the hoses and boom pulled the passenger side to high and it came off.
Be careful. I just inserted it into place and well it clamped back in. I will be going to the parts store soon to buy a small clamp and some oil line. Easy fix. I wonder if I can remove the metal rods/poles/metal tubing, and just get away with rubber tubing? A lot easier to maneuver. Anyone else tried it?
It was. Good hour to install. Yes I know could have been faster but I was taking my time. Also your lower back starts hurting after a while.

Other then that cheers they look nice.

100% agree, but I have some cotton seat covers with M colors when I wear my jeans! It was a tough decision but on all my BMWs even my wife's X5 we went with white seats because we love the color combination and we are xtremely careful, if we will pay the money we will get exactly what we like...
Enjoy and stay healthy

Talking

I have recieved a couple of goodies since last post,
Weather tech floor mats and trunk mat. Made sure to clean the carpets very well and now it looks awesome.
Bought M6 matte black kidney grills from Taiwan only 90$ yet to install them.
Bought M6 trunk badge in matte black 20$ yet to install.
BMS catch can system lightly used, just need intakes for install.
Bought a Chinese LED light kit took 1 month to get here. I dont think spending 170$+ on an LED kit 15$+ per led is worth it.
I will be doing all the installs this weekend.

Wearing dark blue jeans is a nightmare.
Just lotion it up every other week. Just like skin id say. Not that hard.

Do you have any special leather cleaner-conditioner? I have the platinum individual leather and bought a cotton M seat cover to use when I wear jeans, I can't stand stains on them. For conditioning I use Chamberlain Leather Milk 4 and all leather surfaces feel like new.
