Hi All,

I just picked up a unicorn 14' Alpine White/Black Interior M6 Gran Coupe with 16,500 miles on the clock. Amazing beast! This is my first euro spec BMW (in Panama City, Panama). My first BMW was a Steel Grey 2002 E46 325xi in Chicago. Needless to say, that car started my unreasonable obsession with BMWs (and also modding the annoying USA spec orange turn signals with euro spec clears ). Sorry for the iphone pics. That's all I got for now.

Anyways, just wanted to say Howdy to all you folks. Your amazing cars are infecting me with the mod bug! I already got the side mirrors wrapped in CF. Also got the M performance alcantara steering wheel on the way. Will post pics when I get that installed.

The mirrors are real Carbon or did mean a carbon wrap?

Those are carbon wrap. Not sure of the brand though.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to 6post.com. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
We lived in Panama 1999-2000 in Obarrio. We constructed the container terminal in the port of Balboa and a few years later the puente Centenario.

Thanks for the welcome! Glad to be here.

Panama in 2000, wow! Panama is really changed since then. In my few years here, it has undergone an incredible transformation. With the new canal expansion, we are busier than ever!

Just got the M Performance Alcántara steering wheel. Driving with this seems more responsive for sure! I took the risk and bought the Carbon fiber trim from eBay. Pleasantly surprised by the high quality and fit from China.

nice! Was the CF trim on the steering wheel hard to install? You have to have the wheel off I suppose?

I believe you can install the CF Trim without taking the whole wheel off. You will still need to unplug the battery and take off the airbag though. Here is a tutorial I found from an M2 install: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1441855

My Start-Stop button was scratched up, so I bought a blue one off eBay for $8.79 just to try. Literally a 10-second install with the sticky putty it shipped with. Not bad!
