MDCT Computer & Transmission Learning Reset
So this "learning" thing the transmission does is interesting. The other day the car suddenly started behaving very differently. That said, I am very sensitive to the car in terms of power band, shift point etc.
I have the car setup just the way I like. I find that the trans setting and the throttle response are huge factors. After the change, I had to go from 2 on the trans to 3 to get close to the kind of performance I was getting. The throttle is also less responsive. Similar to the second of the three settings for the throttle prior to the change. I'll admit it is more pleasant to drive; however, It's definitely lost something. Can I reset this on my own? Can the dealer do it? Has anyone noticed what I'm describing and had a reset done to where the car reverted to factory. Thanks Gents!!! |
