battery drain from center console car charger?

my damn battery keeps getting low. I keep getting increased battery discharge prompt, and have isolated it down to the car charger plugged into my center console. tried 2 different chargers and same issue. I've confirm that the charger stays working even after car is sitting idle for a long time. any workaround? don't get a charge from using the ashtray outlet, and same battery drain from using outlet located by passenger footwell.

I just started having this problem a week ago with the "Battery Discharge Port" message, but I have not narrowed it down just yet. However, I do suspect it may be one of the two sockets that have charger accessories connected.

I was also thinking that it could be time to replace the car battery as I have not done that on this car and wonky stuff like this used to happen when I had a E64 (645Ci), and those issues were often battery related. I got this F12 with 39k miles, and now it has 61k.

my f12 has 45k miles on it now. I have subwoofers and an amp wired to accessory power in the trunk, but was able to confirm that those power off 10 minutes or so after car sits idle. I also wired an escort built-in radar to the passenger side footwell, and a laser interceptor system to same power source, and both of those power off shortly after sitting idle. I'm 99% certain it's the center console outlet, but there has to be a way to avoid having to plug in and unplug charger every time I want to use.

Moreso than the mileage...how old is the car's battery? Is it the original battery? If yes, then those that have anything older than a 2013...you're running on a battery that is at least 5 years old or older...which would be on the downhill side in regards to battery life.

I've never gotten the Battery Discharge port error. Mine will give error on startup saying electrical devices powered off / low battery. if I leave car charger unplugged, then after driving for a while battery gets charged and works fine. does anyone know exactly what each outlet is programmed to do, i. e. if any stay on with accessory power or not?

In the center console, I only had this error message one time. I have a dual outlet USB Plugged in. I leave my IPhone charger cable in all the time, no issue. I left the new cable required for the Samsung S8 plugged in one time and that happened. Drove around with car on and it charged up and never did that again, no issues with the lightning cable though, but it seems like that USB C 3.0 pulls extra power. Not sure if that’s an isolated incident but def worth checking into.

my dealer replaces the battery every other oil change. I thought that was interesting however he said that it is dictated by the 650 maintenance schedule...
