2014 BMW 640i Convertible - Outdoor Car Cover?

Hello everyone - excited to learn from some of you seasoned veterans about my new car! So I live in Lido Key Saratota, FL and I only have a car port and need to get a weather proof outdoor car cover for my new love and understand that BMW does not have a fitted outdoor cover. Ideally I would like to get a top notch outdoor cover that would keep my baby safe as possible from rain, birdsh!t, landscaper debris, etc - any recommendations? I searched and did not fund anything so far - THANKS!!

Looks like genuine Bmw options?
But I bet most on this forum are parking in a garage...

Haha no joking... it’s a fabric waterproofing agent, makes it much easier to keep the roof clean and watching raindrops roll straight off is (geekily) joyful!

Just an update: I emailed them just to confirm this cover will fit (bc the dealer by me said there is not one made for my car) and so far no response in 3-4 days. I also tried calling the # on the website 1-877-265-8701and the number does not even ring and just says "Sorry, the user mailbox is full" and hangs up. Not sure if they are legit or not at this point.

Anyone ever done business with these guys???

Thanks

Todd

Still no response from these clowns - oh well.

Anyone else here have an outdoor all-weather rain proof fitted car cover for a 2014 640i Convertible?

Thanks!

I have one that claim to be universal, bought from ebay.

Water repellant and with soft fabric/felt inside to avoid scratches.
Plus a convenient zip in one side to have access to the car when covered.

It's a bit off: spaces for side mirrors are completety out of position but i keep them closed from the button inside the driver door, and it doesn't completely cover the car but oh, for 43$ shipped i don't mind at all.

Mine is a GC, you will probably cover some more inches front and back as opposed to mine, considering your car is a smidge shorter, but there are plenty of different dimensions available.

If the floor of your car port is clean i will not mind buying one a size larger and tuck in the ground the excess.

I'm extremely satisfied, just a quick wipe with a MF cloth and QD to clean the part exposed and the car is completely shiny even after months of non usage.

My car is under a car port

That certainly is a great deal. Unfortunately I def need a super fitted cover as the gusts of wind can be nuts at times where my car spot is in the multple car port in my building. This cover on my Maserati worked REALLY great yet I sold the car to get the BMW - never would have imagined it would be this difficult to get a weatherproof cover specifically for my car...anyone else???

Eventually I will figure this out.

Thanks so so so much for replying pal!

@[TTG5150] Just my 2c I wouldn't want a cheap cover especially for outdoor use as you mentioned, the wind blowing it will scratch your paint (I'm OCD about it, watch any AmmoNYC video about touching paint without lubricant, he mentions car covers).

The links posted by @pdubq show OEM car covers. Appreciate you didn't have any luck reaching out to the website to confirm fit, but you can find the BMW part number for those car covers and throw it into google. Lots of other websites sell them and you could double-check they fit your car (they will if they're OEM BMW). This thread has some more useful info for you.

I have a Gran Coupe and unfortunately the OEM covers are nowhere to be found, so I'm going to look into high quality aftermarket custom-fit covers such as covercraft mentioned in the link above.

Check out the links from @[pdubq]

For example the first one has a SKU 82110039454

That's the BMW part no - putting it into google brings a bunch of results including the official shopbmwusa webpage.

Also the turner motorsport link has a lot of car covers, almost all OEM BMW products. There's quite a choice available for the 6 Coupe! (and non for the GC)

Ok thank you! So even though nobody ever answers the phone (1-877-265-8701) or replies to my emails at Theis Motorsport, I just bought a cover there online.

Will keep you posted whether it's correct for my car and if the company is legit!

THANKS!!
