When I first saw the orange I wasn’t sold, but the more I look at it the more I like it. Followed you on IG! Definitely making me want to pull the trigger on the Maxton side skirts. I already have the front lip.

Thanks mate. The splitter will love the humps even more when its lowered on eibach springs

My last car, F30 335d x drive was lowered on ACS springs - I couldn't even get into the car park at my local sainsburys. An angled approach is needed when tackling humps and driveways.

I like the wing trim gloss black. The calipers are already painted black from the factory. I think when the wheels are changed to dark grey (like the pic or similar) the black calipers will compliment them.

LED Reverse Lights fitted this afternoon.

60w CREE LED Pure White T15/194/W16W

Had the 50w ones on my F30. Although it's something i'll never see while in the drivers seat, I did find that having the brighter LEDs does help with the reverse camera at night.

How did you get a good wrap on the wing trim.. i removed them and i cant get a solid clear qrap.. any advice ?

question about the remap,,,to get an accurate gains from remap,,stock dyno runs are a must,,,that way you can see exactly what gains you got, example..my old 335d was 280 bhp stock,and 347 tuned,,so i know i got 67 bhp from remap,and 400 bhp is way off for a stand alone remap,,these cars are only around 300 bhp,,dyno runs are a minefield,,,usualy over read ,,in the companies interests to..seen plenty cars rolling roaded on stock tune(e9x335d),,,and get 300 bhp ha ha,,then they tell you it had a shit map on it,,or it is a healthy car,,nope their just spouting bollox ,,anyway car looks good,,dont want to get into celtic tuning,,but basically they are not very good,,sen quite a few of their maps needing tweaked,this is from a proper tuner who writes maps for companies who do tunng etc etc

I didnt take mine off... left them on the car. Applied a good amount of heat to the vinyl but not for too long each time. With a trim tool I was able to push the vinyl in the gaps and then cut with a craft knife.

Going to attempt to wrap the diffuser in gloss black next week. First challenge is removing the thing first.

I've not got it on the dyno yet. Will do when I can at Surrey RR.

The 400bhp figure is what they have quoted. Looked at Durham Remaps and they quoted 408bhp. I know someone with a 335dx and they got 412bhp on the dyno. Exhaust is straight through so not sure of that helps.

I'm not that techincal to understand the ins and outs but its a damn sight more quicker then before! My reason for going with Celtic was based on reviews and alot of people on this forum running N57 engine have had it from them with no issues. Touch wood its been great with no issues. Just need to get some MPS4S and hopefully that will tame it a little and improve the drive.

I bought my 640d in November and brought it back to dublin.

Really paranoid about the AUC and modifying the car. Dealers will use any excuse not to stand over it

The black BMW emblem seems to be a very polarizing topic based on discussions on other forums. Everyone seems to think it's either a cool look or some sort of an unforgivable sin. I'm pretty conflicted on this, I did try it out on the wheels, and I think it's a decently clean look that goes well with the black rims, but I just couldn't bring myself to put it on the front or back, wasn't really to my personal taste.

I'm in no way trying to dissuade anyone from putting black emblems or doing whatever else they want to their car, although I am somewhat curious as to how people here feel.

Ideally for the front and back, I was hoping to find something that maintains the BMW blue, but goes for a flatter/minimalist look, the 3D effect on the current logo look very dated. Something like the logo unveiled on the i4 concept, but with a black ring instead of the transparent design. No luck finding anything close to it yet.

I agree i think the badge is a very important piece of car and oem all the way.

Car detailed today and wrapped my diffuser in gloss black...

Clay, compound, polish and wax

Paintwork is so smooth to touch. Tried out the new meguiars hybrid ceramic range. Was quite enjoyable using these products. Real test is when it rains!

Well I did find some around the boot badge/camera...

I'm looking at tinting them myself but if that doesn't work, I'll let the professionals do it.

Coding Update:

Coding and Flashing done last night to add the following:

-Alpina TCU Flash (D1 - D8) , S8 is also now avaolable in sport mode

- Apple Car Play

- IDrive 6 Upgrade

- 2020-2 Nav Maps

- Active Sound Upgrade

Work was carried out by Simon (Bavarian Coding)


Coded folding mirrors on lock myself this morning using BimmerCode.

That Alpina Flash has transformed the car and compliments the remap! Never stopped smiling when I took it for a test drive earlier. Couldn't wait to get the food shop done so I could get back in the car

1. - Changes gear slightly smoother & quicker
2. - Shows what gear you are in D1,D2,D3 etc...
3. - Goes into S8 and doesn't stop at S7
4. - Achieves slightly better mpg (I'm not that fussed)
5. - Lasts longer in manual mode
6. - More sporty feel

That's what I've found from doing my research online and speaking to others on the forum.

I did a few test runs today and can definitely feel the difference. It has transformed the car massively and with the remap it's just crazy - especially in Sport mode and Stick to the left!

From the list above, points 1,2,3 and 6 is what I saw and experienced today.

Not tested point 5.

Point 4 - time will tell.
