E92/E90 engine in Z4?

Do you think they're going to upgrade the Z4 Coupe with the new twin-turbo engine? it currently has the '06 E90 engine in it so it wouldn't be completely out of line if they upgraded the Z4s as well.

what do you think?

I think what will be more interesting is if they upgrade it to the V8 M engine for the Z4M. That think should fly.

As great as that idea sounds that motor may conflict with the M motor. If I were BMW, I would hold off on the upgrade until the new model.

It would currently be a bit to close to the //M Z4 Coupe

But I have been told they may possibly bring it it when they change the M Z4to the V8 a few years from now

Exactly, the S54 weighs more than the N52. The M roadster i test drove felt a little unbalanced compared to my si.

A V8 under the hood of the M roadster is overkill, I'd rather get a Corvette convertible than a V8 M roadster.

i can see your argument but you can say the same about 335 and current M3. there are still some major differences that make the ///M cars very distinct from their regular counterparts.

yet another reason why they should put the turbo engine in the current Z4

looking at the time of ur post, i was also at BMW dealer here and sat in the //M coupe, and WOW! what a feeling!

oh and about the 335i engine on the Z4?? im with E90Fleet, i dont think BMW will do that right now and still charge much more for the //M...

the E90 335i and E46 M3 case is kinda different, they are NOT the same car, not like how same will the Z4M and the Z4 with N54 (if it happens)
