6 Series 2013 M-Sport - BMW Connected and Spotify issues

Hi all

I have a 6 Series 2013 December M-Sport, when I connect my ipod to run Spotify using idrive I have to open the app every time I get into the car, 90% of the time idrive pics up spotify and show me full spotify menu but sometimes it doesnt.

Though this is not the main issue, main issue is I have been given a mini cooper loan car by my dealer while they are doing some work on mine and, my ipod/Spotify works like a charm everytime I get into the car without having to manually open spotify on the ipod, has anyone else experience the same or similar issues?

What year is that Mini Cooper prolly updated system why don't u tell the dealer

My 2014 does the same and it pisses me off. I got a 2017 loaner and it works like it should. I guess its the new hardware that fixes it, because I have the latest software.

2016, dealer said it cant be done in your car which is hard to belive.
