Yep, I think Gasly has matured and is the most underrated driver in the field. Zero damage last year. That's a hard thing to do running mid-field all the time. Plus he makes that Alpine extra wide and very hard to pass. Of course Ferrari should have kept Carlos but Gasly would be my next choice.

Not an ideal category to win...kmag driving him into a wall on a circuit where neither of them were going to get points caused half of that.

The Monaco GP is not a race . It's a F1 car parade ..

But the white washed glamour money rules in Monaco and it bought the Monaco GP up to 2031.
Of course , The FIA is very happy with that...

Quali can be entertaining but the race is terrible.

I'd love to see a miata or mini cooper circuit at monaco... put the drivers in equal cars that are small enough to pass, make it a charity race. Obviously it'll never happen, but one can dream.

I agree about the Monaco qualifying . It's like who has the biggest b@lls to shave the walls ?

IMHO. The Monaco track (actually the small roads) are not wide enough for a Mini-Cooper race .

On the other hand : It's not sure yet , that Spa-Francorchamps "The greatest track on earth" will be at the 2026 FIA F1 Calendar .

That's how much the FIA really s@cks ...

Why not? at the lower speeds there will be plenty of places to pass, and the roads are all 2 lanes, one lane each direction, so two mini's should fit just fine side-by-side.

Put 'em in Italian job classic mini's then... or heck, maybe just put them in gokarts... something so it's not just a boring parade.

It's the only race of the year I don't watch. I'll usually watch the first lap or two, then switch to the F1TV race in 30 or whatever, it's just not worth my time.

Everyone can see it , this new gen.F1 cars can reach 300+ km/h in the tunnel.
The day that things go (terrible)! wrong in the tunnel , with 3-4 cars into a 2-3 seconds gap..

That will be the end of the Monaco GP ...
