Placed some blacked out grills in the beast. Makes it look a lot better IMO.
Also done a bit of coding with BimmerCode, putting the entertainment list and phone lists into the HUD, removing the BS chimes/warnings. Plus a few other bits and pieces. Last edited by chrisveal; 01-14-2021 at 04:01 AM.. |

Looks awesome, before and after actually. The black plate certainly looks more menacing on a black car. Love it !

Rear bumper side skirt
Installed rear bumper side skirts. It balanced the side skirts. I'm thinking of lining up with the rear bumper making flush rear bumper body nstead making look like a rear side diffuser wing. What do you guys think?
Funny, I am supposed to remove the side skirts for a potential buyer but ran out of time. Planning to get a side skirt that don't angle down like mine does. |

Where did you get the blacked out fender grille piece?
I am looking online and do not even know what it is called. Hate my silver ones. Also what is the name of the aero kit you are using? Quote:

The pre LCI side grilles have turn indicators built into them...whereas the LCI grilles do not (because the turn indicator moved to the rear of the side view mirrors. I was able to find the "exterior trim / grille" in the LCI diagrams for f06/f12/f13 w/night vision & park assist. See #7 in the diagram below: And found it also in the M6 diagrams (see #20 in the diagram below) for pre LCI (illuminated):

On my car I lightly sanded the “chrome” then painted with SEM gloss black trim paint. It looks great.

If you wrap it, you can go back to chrome. The wrap should last up to 5 years not garaged. Longer if garaged or ceramic coated. I'll probably never go back to Chrome and do what board57796 did should my wrap start to fade or peal. |

Topped up the CHF11S in the dynamic drive fluid reservoir. The service docs say to check the fluid level with the engine at operating temp, and that the level should be between the 20 and 80 degree C marks on the dipstick. My dipstick didn't even touch the oil.
