When I initially purchased the car I averaged 750 miles as well. I took the car into service back in January and they replaced some of the oil hoses, but no results.

The car is stock minus the Dinan tuner, so I would guess right around 600HP- please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong

I also park in the same spot daily and haven’t seen any external leaks, in addition to not smelling or seeing any indications of excess oil burn. I’m racking my brain over this- close to trading the damn car in for a AMG GTs.

I purchased it with 19K miles, previously driven by an old man who babied the car. It was practically brand new when I picked it up. Dyno is the plan, but if I keep dealing with the oil issue and no help from BMW I may just trade it in for a AMG GTs

i heard from my mechanic who had f10 m5 that when you baby these cars during the break in period they run into oil problems. he says he destroyed the car from mile 0 and he never had to put in a quart

im in los angeles.

i think i figured out the trick for my particular engine.

i went from filling a quart every 750 miles (did this 3 or 4 times) on the stock 0-30 oil. to 2000 miles and it hasnt asked for any yet, on the 5-30

I switched from OEM oil to 5w-40 liquimoly and it totally fixed my oil burning. I used to burn a quart every 1000 miles or so. Now I may need to top off 1/4-1/2 quart every 800-900 miles depending on how I drive. I noticed the car burns the most oil when I'm commuting in the car and sitting in traffic.

I too changed to 5w40 Liqui Moly 9 quarts , I’m using the Blue bottle now , I have the green oil on the shelf for the next change it’s supposed to be better, Liqui Moly with Molygen it has better anti friction properties , plus if there is a leak you can use a black light to help find the leak , either way it’s great oil!
