Did you took the rear lights and reflectors off? I would do mine as well but don't fancy taking them off..

Tried to remove the front grills last night and failed. I could unclipped the top row on the left grille but could not figure out the bottom row. . There is no access. .

How did you manage it ?

how did you unclip the bottom of the grill,

top was fine, had them done and the grille was out at the top
but the bottom, was a no go

I took my bumper off, but someone posted not long ago to use a hooked/bent acre driver to poke through from the grill to dislodge the clips which I thought was genius.

To be fair, the only pain with taking the bumper off was the wiring harnesses out up a fight to disconnect.

Grab the grill and pull it really hard... feels like you're going to break it but you won't.

I uncliped the top and then just pulled really hard on the bottom to dislodge it. Make sure you wear gloves as it cuts your hands up grabbing the plastic really hard!!

Great Post! Car is looking class and I'm enjoying watching it progress

Its like you've read my mind, I've had wrap in the garage for about 2 months now waiting to do the rear lights and diffuser. Going light smoke on the lights and deleting the smaller reflectors. Also going for gloss black on the diffuser. Front grill getting painted, it has the infa red camera and is nightmare to get a replacement grill.

Keep up the good work man, that orange strip is awesome!

Some more updates...

- Eibach Springs fitted (25/20). This was done by DeutschTech

- Wing Mirror Indicator Lens Wrapped in Light Smoke Tint

Car feels so much better when driving now. Less body roll and feels planted in the corners giving you the confidence to push harder. Also loving the way it sits/looks. Just waiting for them to settle a little over the next week or 2.

Look at getting some Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S as the next modification.

Thank you for the kind words.

The car has come along way in 9 months. Few more things to do then it's there... until the next mod or something ha!

Looking forward to seeing some pics of yours.

Thanks again. I do get alot of comments about the orange pinstripe. I had it on the mirrors too but took it off as it was too much I think and looked like the indicator was always on!

The car hasn't been dyno'd.

This is what I was told and shown by the tuner. I have seen some graphs for other cars that had these figures. Mine is based on what I've seen/heard

Will get it on dyno hopefully - once we are all done with lockdown etc.

I no longer have pockets left anymore

I try to be good and budget some money aside every month. Once I have enough in the pot, I carry out the modification.

With regards to tyres, I won't carry a spare as that would mean having to carry a jack in the boot etc.

Was thinking of something like this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003QHY0..._.qX8EbBGJX1CR

Only thing is though - if you use this, you'll have to replace the tyre. Benefits of carrying a spare is the punctured tyre could possible be saved.

it is really to late,,unless you go to someone with a well proven heart wrecker dyno,,you need stock run's to see what the dyno is like,,ie accurate,,these cars are only 299-306 bhp ish,,,and some ive seen stock runs at 325-330- bhp,,which is way out,,,then they tune it and it is dyno'ed at 400 bhp..knock 20 bhp off for the inaccurate dyno,,tuners inflate figures,,they want custom,,and most want to see high figures,,simples

Bimmercode is the app and dongle which you can use yourself.

Bavarian Coding is a company who do retrofits and idrive upgrades etc. They did ID6, Car Play and Alpina Flash for me. They can also do the bimmercode options/changes for you too.
