Cleaner?

Any recommendations on what to use on the vinyl pieces where the roof folds under on the convertible? As you can see where the roof sits when up is all white.

I've never seen that before. But by the looks of it, the vinyl has not turned white but it just has something on it. Almost looks like baking soda. What happens when you just wipe it with a wet rag? Any vinyl cleaner is fine. Even some dish soap and a brush.

Apply wax and polish it to remove the stain. After every car wash, wipe it clean.

What? Wax and polish on pebble-grain vinyl? That would be a disaster.

Mine gets a little murky there, I normally give it a quick scrub with turtle wax tar remover and it goes black again. Mine seem to be from when it rains and water sits there and evaporates.

Odd. I've never had anything like that on mine.

Always use the least aggressive thing first. Try a damp cloth first.
What I use on all trim leather, plastic and vinyl is this product.

303 areospace protectant is well liked for exposed vinyl like that.

Thanks all. I tried a mild detergent and bristle brush. Then applied Aerospace Protectant 303. Shows some improvement on one side as seen below. The other side seems a lot tougher.
