Camera Failure! But Surround View works??!!
Hi
I wonder if you can help me with an odd one!
Do you have any suggestions as to whats going on here? Is there some way of resetting this? Or is this potentially a wiring fault - something unclipped? Front bumper was re-painted 3 weeks ago, there were no issues after this. The car was pressure washed yesterdayand its likely there was an issue after this. Thanks in advance

Are both front cameras not working? I have hit the cameras by accident with the pressure washer and have not suffered any negative consequences. The easiest thing is to check if connectors are properly seated.

Did you lose both side view cams...or just one of them? If you have a warning and one or both of the side cams aren’t working...then that’s where the issue is. The surround view uses the cams in the bottom of the side view mirrors and the rear view cam.

What usually happens is one or both side view cams have been blasted by water from the wheel well and water gets into the harness and causes a short/corrosion. Luckily the cameras are cheap on Ebay or you can diy fix the harness/pins. I know my bumper is pretty fucked from whatever moron tried to fix it before I owned the car and the wheel well doesn't perfectly seal on the left side so I've lost my left cam. It doesn't fail instantly but it detects a short and shuts down.
