ARM Downpipes

2016 650xi

I just wanted to post quickly as I've noticed this forum is.... uninformed about some products out there.
I spent the weekend installing some parts In my 650

Megan springs

UPDATE : they offer 2 sets of springs 6 series the one I installed is specifically for the gc this has a 5.71 kg/mm spring rate for the front and 3.33kg/mm for the rear.

The other option is the COUPE version with is 6.6kg front and rear.

I'm 99.9% sure the springs are interchangeable so if you want a stiffer spring go with the COUPES, for your GC.

I have the GC option, and might swap for the stiffer spring.

https://meganracing.com//mr-ls-bf06-4498

These were just as good quality as anything else and the ride is awesome, nice and stiff In the corner when used with sport mode, and in comfort setting, dare I say rides way better then stock. While still being forgiving. Nice combo with the stock EDC

Update: springs have settled, went on the highway today while it was raining did a few pulls and car felt way more planted then stock. Weight transfer is awesome as the rear squats a bit under load. Really happy with this!

These springs were alittle wierd at first but as soon as settled, car handles bumps/pot holes way better, were as my stock car used to bottom out or make a ton of noise when hitting imperfections in the road. Realllly really happy with this combo.

ARM Downpipes

These were a breeze to install, fitment was dead nuts, only unable to use 1 bracket, but was able to retail the upper heat shields, no rattling, just use your head and use the proper exhaust wrap, and techniques to apply it.

Turbos spool up at least 700 rpm sooner in conjunction with my stage 2 tune. Not sure power wise. But, I would assume 20-30whp over stock.

No I was just referring to the OP’s car. But yeah I think I’m going with Megan as well since the OP said that the ride quality is superb.

I ordered them directly from Megan as I have an account with them, but you can get them for 170ish shipped usually. Nbd for a daily.

So I don't think this has a rake really the rear is lowered more then the other brands, I believe it's 1.5 up front and 1.3 in rear, so it looks leveling.

I like how your car sits right now, I think it has a perfect drop in my opinion.

Camber question

Hello, I just bout a 2013 650x drive. I took it for alignment right away and the front driver side camber was so thrown off there was nothing they could do. The only suggestion they had was to get a camber kit. Where can I find one!?

I spoke with Megan today and they said that their spring could not be used on a XDrive? They would not warranty anything and said their will be failures in the near future. I have a 650I XDrive convertible and want to drop it as well and now stuck to some degree.

Go Eibach. I am not sure what Megan's issue is, but Eibach uses the same part number for the 2WD as the Xdrive.

Excellent thank you. Do the springs ride the same? Is there a different spring rate for the convertibles as well?

Thrown off from what? Is it lowered? Suspension banged up during a wreck?
It may need other components to straighten the camber.
