Just and FYI...although the nav map that you see on the iDrive screen doesn't appear in the HUD...if you have a destination input into the system...you can get notifications in the HUD for on/off ramps, turns, etc. if you have Navigation checked off in the iDrive settings for the HUD. It's the same info that shows up in a split nav screen. At least it does on my 2013 650iX GC.
