I share your problem (now resoled with a M4), I have had my 6er for a year and I love it however it is a large car especially on the UK roads adn car parks and dread going into the city centre.
January 2018 I will start the search for a replacement as I tend to chock them in after 2.5 years. In a perfect world I would love a car around 4 series size with the luxury of the 6er, just seems the manufactures don't look at luxury in small cars in the UK. I keep thinking about a M3 / M4 next time but I left a well spec'd F30 for the 6 and the interior is way ahead of the 3 / 4 series. I can see its going to be a real problem in 2018 ! Hope you enjoy your M4 and it keeps you entertained, interesting to see what you think after 6-12 months.

I did this 12 months ago. Went from a 3 year old 640d to new M4. Lasted 6 months and now back in a 640d. Wanted something a bit more special with more exciting ride.
Good things about M4: Cornering awesome, acceleration, noise, you know you've got something special and it attracts a lot of attention. Why it didn't work for me: 30 mile commute each way and I got tired of hard suspension, noise and less refined interior - and you can end up driving it like a go-kart! Shame really because it is an awesome car with good economy for the performance. I miss it and if commute was shorter, maybe it would have worked out for me. |

Lexus reminds me of Audi. Out of no where they start coming out with really really beautiful cars! Only let down on this model for me is the interior. |

Couldn't sum it up better than that! some 640i is the price of a fully loaded M4. So that should explain whether it's a downgrade or upgrade lol!

If that's the case I would say it's not an smart buy for 640i because that's the price of 650i

I switched from 650GC to M5 then to M3.
The M5's interior for me is more luxury than the interior of 650GC. Just look at the door panel is covered by all leather, it was really a pleasure. Comparing the M3 with m5, the only time you would miss the luxury would be the flashy BO speakers at night or the time you sit at back.

Biggest turn off of all Lexus' is that awful front end. Incredibly unattractive.
