Joining the club

Just pulled the trigger on an 8 month old, 4800 mile 640i GT in Bluestone metallic with Dakota Ivory White interior. My current car (530d) is coming up to 3 years old and 55,000 miles and I'm planning on reducing my business miles. Massive amount of car for the money, saved £30k from new OTR price!!

Premium Package / M Sport Plus package / Front Comfort Seats / Harmon Kardon loudspeaker system / panoramic glass sunroof / Head-up Display / 20" Bi-colour 648M Double-spoke light alloy / Sun protection glass / Fine-wood trim 'Fineline' Ridge with Pearl / Active Guard / M Sport braking system / Run-flat tyres / Reversing Assist camera / Soft-close doors / front seat massage function / Folding exterior Mirrors / Ambient lighting / front comfort seats / heated front seats / Apple CarPlay preparation / High-beam Assistant / Digital Cockpit

Congrats! It's crazy the amount of car you can get for your money. I made the same decision for the same rationale, but budget was more constrained as we rejig things post-COVID, so 630i with fewer toys, but still...

Gone are the days when BMW would 'charge you extra for the wheels'. Lesser cars may come with more still, but would it be as good?

What amazes me is that it's actually pretty economical to run. I'm in the office 2 days a week (wfh the rest of the time) and for that 126 mile round trip, sticking to the speed limits, I get around 37 mpg! It's also the quietest and most comfortable car I've ever owned!!

Very nice! That's the trim I would have chosen as well. A touch of class.
