E-SYS - Changing Werte Values

hi all,

new to the world of coding and i've hit an annoying blocker, if somebody can help pls.

below is a pretty simple presumably standard coding, to enable comfort opening/closing with remote.

I need to set this to active/Werte=01. Everytime i change it to Active, Werte defaults to 00. then If i change Werte to 01, it changes back to nicht_active!

Best part is i know there has to be a way, because i had comfort opening working before i starting mucking around with E-SYS

I don't have my cable at the moment so can't check, there's a big coding thread on the 5 series forum, couple of the guys there are very good. I'm sure I came across something similar on my 5 but can't remember the fix

You can either right click on the nicht_activ value and select edit (it will change to a stop down list of the are options for the value to change, in this case I'd expect 'activ' as a drop down option), or you can change the value in the section of the screen labelled from your screen shot 'values from ecu', once you've changed the value, you need to press the button on the right hand side to write it back. I can't remember the name of the button, but it's on the same line as the title section 'values from ecu'.

Then press save, then the back button and then the code button. It's worth watching a beginner's guide on YouTube, as it will get you comfortable in the process.

thanks elvisisdog that's exactly what i keep doing,

- so i change the drop-down to 'activ',
- then change the 'value from ecu' to '01' (as it doesn't automatically change in this instance),
- then press that button on the extreme right on the same row as 'value from ecu',

- then save, go back, code.

but the function doesn't work as expected, and when i read the values again i see it as 'activ' and '00' (not '01).

i've gone to the extent of coding with either 'activ' or '01' only at any given time, with the following outcomes:
- if i code 'activ', werte changes to '00'
- if i code '01', it changes to 'nicht_activ'

I'm not sure on the value changes needed for this feature, maybe you need to set some other values first.

I'm guessing as you've got this far you've read the FA and SBU?
