If you purchase a retfit adapter, it will be listed in the purchaser's instructions.
You confirm the wiring of the CIC and EVO quad connector. should also check the wiring of combox .... |

I came across a headunit high 2 which is touchscreen and has HW version 4.1. It is an HB B210 unit complete with DAB, TV function and all. I'm considering to retrofit it in my F32 as my F06 already has EVO.
Does anybody know if HW 4.1 units are automatically NATIVE ID6 units? Or could it still be an ID5 one? If I'm to spend a 1000 or more Euro for a complete set (unit, display, controller), I'd rather get a native ID6 one if possible. |

The 4.1 HW unit I saw is from a G11 accident car from October 2017. Being touchscren it might very well be a native ID6 unit but I'm just not 100% sure. I know you can code an ID5 unit to ID6 light which will give you graphically the same menu as the newer ID6 units.

Thinking of retrofitting the above on my F06 for native ID6 and touchscreen functionaility. However I'm combatted between different screens such as:
G11 and G12 models - Kyocera screens made in Thailand G30, G31, G38 and F90 models - LG Electronics latest screens July 2018 batch All are 10.25" but I wonder if there is any difference in quality or any improvements? Pricewise they go for about the same. The shape though seems to be different thus I'm thinking which one would fit better as a replacement of the original F06 factory display? |

First of all, it cant be installed with the 6 series plug-and-play.
Disassemble the other car's monitor and install it. I think that it is impossible on the structure of G11 monitor. Disassemble and install the 10.25 inch monitor such as G30. its best to combine it with pre LCI monitor |

But to disassemble the touch monitor The F15 touch monitor is suitable. If you use the G series touch monitor, you will need to cut the glass. |

How did you modify the F15 display for the F12? I am about to buy a retrofit kit, but BimmerRetrofit want to supply a G30 monitor for the kit and I do not want to modify the dashboard to make it fit.

Look at the post # 3 image. Image 1 Disassemble the F15 touch monitor. And I cut the top 3mm with a glass cutter (I corrected the height later) Image 2 Fix the touch monitor with epoxy adhesive to the monitor cover of the pre-LCI. Image 3 Image of touch monitor fixed from the back |

This seems like a good option as well with them supplying screens and everything needed. They also uploaded a video about the retrofit in a 14 M6. Looks really good. |

No problem. I have ordered an NBT retrofit for my 650i, and the main reason I am not getting NBT EVO is because I want to keep the HUD. I abandoned iPhone a long time ago so don't care much for Apple Car Play.

Hugo_nz - where did you find out about the HUD not working with nbt Evo head units? I was thinking of upgrading my nbt to Evo but couldn't live without HUD.

LCI cars or those with nbt from the factory shouldn't have a problem with HUD functionality when retrofitting Evo.

How do you find out if you have the LCI version or not? I've been looking all over on retrofitting this and seems quite a confusing thing due to all the different models.
