Logic 7 amp for BMW 650i 2007

Dears,
i have e64, 650i 2007. the logic 7 amp stopped working totally due to rain, i bought an after market L7 that is for BMW 754, same plugs, the seller said it would work once you plug it. i tried, but no sound, and the screen is freezing and not responding. do i need coding? or the whole L7 amp wont fit to my car?

please advise.

This is really an F12/F13/F03 forum - 2012+. It's not clear to me where the older 6 series owners are supposed to post on this forum beucse I don't see a sub-forum for it. Maybe somebody here will know your answer, but if it were me, I'd join a forum with a specific sub forum for your model.
