Aftermarket Coding
hello all, has anyone had any experience of after market coding ie ASD on /off, coding of mirrors as well as more vehicle related stuff.
If the coding is to BMW spec / release, though done by an independent does it impact warranty ??, I am looking at getting a few tweaks done this week on a 12month old car, A little nervous however. Thanks |

I bought the Veepeak OBDcheck on Amazon and the BimmerCode app for my iPhone for my F06 M6. You just have to plug the Veepeak into the OBD port in the footwell and connect it to the app using Bluetooth.
You can turn off the ASD, start stop, and toggle a bunch of other features. Everything is pretty easy through the BimmerCode app. I was able to do it on my first try just by following the instructions. Great and easy mod.

I used Carly to code my ‘19 M6 GC. Was able to code video in motion, mirrors, blinkers in HUD, seatbelt chime, door unlock on power-off, and collision distance menu. I was unable to code “radio off when door opens”, or whatever that is called. Not being able to code that one made me kinda sad. Carly was very easy to use, albeit pricey. I think I paid $60 for the app and $40 for the WiFi dongle that you plug I to the car.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bzl...ew?usp=sharing - Blue background were either already set or I have set on my vehicle & an F10 M5 - Gray is either I tested & backed out of since I didn't see the need for it or I haven't tested it yet - The rest I could care less Google search anything in the (E) Function Value column should yield links that further explain the setting. In some cases, there may be YouTube videos that show the function There are also tabs with different info at the bottom of the spreadsheet. Hex chart etc.... |
