My avarage fuel consumption in the city when using ECO PRO and driving really softly is 18-20l/100km. Mostly short distance with many crossroads. After reading the whole thread I'm a bit confused because it seems more than others. On the other hand when driving highway 130-150km/h it's 11-12l/100km.

2017 650i xDrive convertible. At 20K miles i was averaging 17.3 mpg. I now have 55K and drive it mostly in Sport Mode or M/S and average 16.9 mpg.

running two V8's and blown / forced induction at that .... usually I don't care too much about fuel economy, I mean so long as its not 'ridiculous' it makes very little difference to my life a few extra litres used. I think when I last looked at my 650 it was about 16L/ 100 klms and that was mostly urban... with some motorway cruising. As I don't drive the 650 that much that's what I recall. On longer motorway journeys I recall it being actually surprising very good if I'm behaved and don't carry on like a typical BMW idiot.
My Supercharged Range Rover isn't as good in urban obviously being a tonne heavier, however it too isn't bad on the motorway if I behave I can get around 11-12L to 100klms which is pretty good for a 5.0 SC V8. All this being said and while again its not really making a huge change to my life the crazy petrol prices in Aus atm for 98oct fuel $2.30 P/litre. Is starting to make me consider 'do i really need to go there'.... don't worry I've no intention of rushing out and buying a telsa but I would say petrol prices doubling here in Aus atm does make me 'consider' my journeys ... |
