Who here tracks their M6?
I seem to be the only M6 on the road courses. I don't even see M5s out there.
This car is still plenty fun out there and I surprise people with how agile this heavy girl can run.

I've gone around the Hampton Downs track here in Auckland a few times - it's great fun and super fast down the straights compared to just about everything else.

great post! I track mine too every now and then - i've run Thunderhill East and West, and Laguna Seca..
Car is heavy but boy can it move! I've done slight tweaks like full camber possible on rear, and toe out in front. Now i'm going to lower the car with KW HAS and that should be it for my 'track mods' besides Michelin cup 2 tires! |

So far, Pitt Race (in the pouring rain), NCM, Road Atlanta 2x. Going back to NCM in 2 weeks and then want to get in AMS, RA (again) and Barber (Birmingham).
Running Cup2s, 10mm, Stage1 ECU, Meistershaft full, EBC Yellows, 650deg brake fluid. Waiting on KW HAS (back ordered a couple months). 36k miles. Interesting notes: After a full run, I always melt paint entirely off the inside of the exhaust pipes. I just have to re-paint every time. And, half way thru a session, my windshield washer fluid evaporates out completely. This engine just gets SO hot. BUT - even after all that, it runs like a champ and I dont burn any oil during the sessions. I may have to top up half a quart over 4000 miles.

The problem also happened with my ex 640d on track: washerfluid level low warning. Strange, because the tank is inside the fender and not so near the engine itself. |

I use to track my M6 often, not so much anymore. I've found these cars love Cup 2's or R888r's on the rear and shell ride on rails! I would highly recommend adding a oil catch can if you plan on tracking the car to prevent blow by.
