So change of plans...
They said there was a seized bolt on the exhaust manifold, so the work took longer than anticipated as they had to remove the turbos and fit a new exhaust manifold. I'm away next week so I won't see the car until next Saturday. |

Laughably BMW called and said in the additional week they've had to keep the car because they had to swap the exhaust manifold, they've not been able to finish the rebuild, so I'm still waiting to hear when I can get it back. No details why they couldn't put it back together inside a week, all I can imagine is they've not prioritised it.

Got my car back after 6 weeks. It’s running fine, remap is still there!
I was give a few goodies along the way to thank me for my patience! Was even given a C220 for the last 8 days...that was worse than the Volvo V40! |

I took my car in for something unrelated to this. But they have checked and I'm not applicable for the recall. However my eye cooler has failed. So they aren't releasing my car untill they have a part, I can't get a hire vehicle as it's not part of the recall and they wont replace untill my warranty company authorised the work.

I was told by one of mates who had the recall it’s actually related to drive shaft chain which could potentially snap but they are stating it’s other issues as this would be bad publicity for Bmw.

Update my warranty company are covering the egr cooler but I rang BMW customer service and apparently my car already had the recall done which is why I wasn't being offered a courtesy car. They wouldn't give me a date as to when the original recall work was done on my car surely it shouldn't have failed and if it did BMW should be covering this but anyway my warranty company authorised the work. Now I've also been given an insginia now.

BMW have had my car for over a month and still can't tell me when parts will arrive.
To make things worse, they have agreed to a larger automatic hire car but i don't have any calls from them to go do the swap. Are they pulling my leg? Safe to say i will be considering other brands when I look into a new car purchase next year. How's everyone else getting along ? |

So BMW kept telling me yes sir we'll get you a automatic then when Id speak to enterprise they said BMW had only authorised a manual. Very frustrating but the enterprise manager sorted it out in the end I think because I kept it very polite with them. They kept £7.50 from my deposit as I apparently didn't quite fill it up to where I had received it but customer service from them was excellent.

So i finally get the go ahead to pick up a larger automatic car.
I turn up at enterprise this morning and pick up a insignia automatic. Drive out the compound and donggg - flat tyre warning. So i turn back and go wtf! No more automatics left so I'm now back in a manual insignia. LOL |

Now, this could be true, my car was in for 7 weeks , but after 5 weeks enterprise called me to say I Bmw haven't extended the loan car after the first month, I had to phone them( Bmw) to ask them to extend.
Enterprise told me Bmw weren't the best at paying. I had a brand new jag epace for 9 weeks in total ( nice car) but after I took the car back, enterprise tried to take £760 from my card as they had not been paid! Lucky for me it flagged up as a fraud and they called me. So yes can believe that. Bit worrying to say the least. And to top it all they returned my f12 with a dent in the door and the front splitter smash to **** |

I'm one of the lucky ones then I guess, as while there were some delays, it took 4wks and BMW MOT'd the car, put fuel in it and replaced a the manifold as they snapped a bolt all FOC as an apology for the delays.
Sounds like some are having a nightmare. |
