Hmm, what happens to wrecked BMW's?

FYI...I recently called 3 salvage yard out here in the lone star states asking about parts for e46 (mainly e46 year 2000 to 2005). All three salvage yard tells me they don't have wrecked bmw. My question to ya'll is anyone know why? Surely they would not just tell me a lie to get me off the phone.

Also interesting is I read in the BMW magazine I just received and it said that bmw do salvage old parts. So does that mean bmw buys back all savage/wrecked bmw? If so, they are definitely a very environmentally conscious company.

BMW employ a cohort of men in black suits who spirit away all wrecked BMW's to an isolated area of the mojave desert in the dead of night.

I thought it was three dry lakes north of Groom Lake, Nevada.

I was thinking bmw make contract with all insurance company to confiscate all salvage/wreck bmw so other auto makers does not get their hands on the bmw ultimate driving machine technology.

What i am looking for is the wheel stopper that prevent your car from rolling down the hill if you happen to carelessly forgot to put her in gear when parking up/down hill. Yes, sometimes the park brake can slip. And yes, I could make my own wheel stop or use a brick. But I wanted the bmw one since I am somewhat a bmw nuts. Bmw decided not to put it in the e90.

not tryin to flame u or argue w u tex, but do u honestly think that a wheel chock is gonna save ur car from rolling down a hill if u forget to put in gear when u park? as soon as u get out and take ur foot off the brake ur gonna roll back, if ur on a hill and didnt put it in gear, before u even have time to set the chock!

I understand. It was stupid example. I like to get the wheel choke (so that is what it is called ) when I lift up my car just for precaution. Rather than buying new, I want to get the one from the e46 from a salvage yard(recycling in mind). I guess i can just use a block of wood.
