Greetings - New Toy Time

Evening All.

Greetings from London! Having had literally tens of BMW's in the past, but I still missed my 640d GC, so it was time for a new toy to replace my workhorse f11 520d (bought for high miles a year ago) which was a good car, but bored the hell out of me.

I've therefore taken the plunge and just put a deposit on a new to me 6 series. It's a very late 2014 640i convertible, only 16,000 miles from new and full history. To say it's immaculate is an understatement I love it. As my car is a second car (playing big brother to a family Macan) I don't need to spank 50 grand in depreciation for the fun of it.

Now being over 40 I also decided to have a little more luxury and didn't need a m-sport, always having defaulted to them over the years.

So what do we think? I love the wheels anyone know what code they are, have not seen them before?

The only thing that does need changing is the boot emblem which has a little blistering, any idea if this can be changed without changing the entire boot mechanism and reversing camera?

As as an aside, I assume the n55 likes regular oil changes not the crazy BMW 18,000 mile intervals?

Thanks all, looking forward to being over on the quality side again...

Pics of new, current car and old 640 for interest...

James

Congrats on the new acquisition.

If they are 20" wheels...they may be wheel style 464...but its hard to tell from the angle and distance the pics are that show the wheels. Its hard to see any of the small details like if they have the M badge on them or not.

If you click the following link and type in the last 7 digits of your VIN...the wheel style that came from the factory should be listed as you scroll down the option code list: www.mdecoder.com
